On Wednesday June 21st, our friends at GardenSite launched their new television campaign for 2017 with spots in “Love Your Garden” on ITV1 in the West Midlands.
GardenSite is a highly respected online Garden Centre with a large majority of customers giving them a 5* rating for quality and service. GardenSite is part of a family group based in Sutton Coldfield delivering highest quality service for all people interested in gardening, for more than 60 years.
TTMA started working for GardenSite in 2016 – with the guys from John Mountford Studios who produced the television commercials - and we have been very pleased with the campaigns which ran last year when GardenSite achieved a sales record in May and another special month in August.
Whilst we launched on Sky Adsmart in February 2016 in various postcode areas across the country, we also linked specifically with ITV’s “Love Your Garden” programme in the summer – with a water features commercial.
The results for GardenSite into August were seen to be very effective and so the team decided to use this option as the base for their 2017 campaign. We have been using advertising in repeats of “Love Your Garden” on ITV3 but the “real” activity broke on Wednesday June 21st on ITV1 West Midlands.
The results were very pleasing. TTMA ensured that GardenSite appeared first, in the first break, in the first programme of the new series.
This spot delivered over a quarter of a million All Adult viewers on the night – there will be more in a repeat on Sunday lunchtime.
Visitor numbers to the GardenSite website – GardenSite.co.uk – immediately after the commercial ran, were up by a factor of 14 against normal figures at the time.
