Be aware be very aware
TTMA has just received an email purporting to be from Companies House.
Having recently filed a return the timing was either very lucky or very targeted. The email itself looked convincing, we decided not to click on the link until we had called Companies House – not on the telephone number on the email but on the main number. We were told that Companies House were aware of this virus and that we should delete the email and the attachment immediately. We did so.
Just goes to show just how clever these spammers are – shame the talent can’t be used in a more positive manner.
To use a catchphrase from ‘Hill Street Blues’ (yes, I have been around that long) ‘Let’s be careful out there!’
